Direct answer
A .csv extension does not prove that a design file will run the machine you intend to buy. Ask our factory team to import a representative, revision-controlled job on the proposed controller, check the profile and steel settings and every specified tool operation, then compare marked trial members with the approved drawing and assembly schedule.

Specify the production job before comparing software claims
Give the supplier an approved member schedule for a real wall, floor or roof framing task, plus the profile drawing, steel grade, thickness range, punching layout and target output. Include member IDs, cut lengths, hole locations and any end treatment your design requires. The machine proposal must identify which profile codes and tools are actually included. A software demonstration using a different member or an empty machine does not close the compatibility question.
Ask for a controlled import-and-trial record
Request the exact design software version, export format, file revision and proposed machine controller/version. Have our factory team state whether the file is accepted directly, converted by a named tool, or manually recreated. If conversion is needed, retain both the source and generated job, the mapping of profile and punch codes, and a record of warnings or omitted operations. Confirm licensing, access to the conversion method and who owns changes after delivery.
| Trial gate | Evidence to retain | Buyer decision |
|---|---|---|
| File provenance | Approved drawing, member schedule, software and export version, file identifier | Was the imported job generated from the actual design revision? |
| Machine mapping | Controller version, imported profile/steel codes, tool and hole mapping, warnings | Does the proposed line recognize the requested material and operations? |
| Trial members | Part IDs, cut lengths, punched locations and sample measurement sheet | Do the produced parts match the accepted drawing within the agreed checks? |
| Assembly fit | Dry-fit or panel assembly record for mating members | Do the holes and end features align in the intended assembly? |
| Change control | Revised file, re-import result and operator handover procedure | Can the customer repeat and audit the process after commissioning? |
What a production-base example can and cannot prove
HSK-3005 product page lists CSV input and describes a computer system that reads its own CSV file format. This is a documented feature of that particular model, not proof that a different quoted machine accepts the same columns or has the same tools. FRAMECAD's job-file guidance similarly explains why the profile shape and steel in a job must match the machine setup. Its workflow belongs to FRAMECAD equipment and is technical context, not a claim of integration with Halcyon equipment.
Questions buyers ask
If both systems export CSV, are they compatible?
Not necessarily. The required fields, profile codes, tool names and unit conventions can differ. Test a representative job on the exact controller and configuration proposed for the order.
Can a screenshot of an imported file replace a machine trial?
No. An import screen may show parsed rows, but the buyer still needs the agreed trial members measured against the drawing and checked for assembly fit.
Which files should be delivered at handover?
Agree the approved design revision, source and machine-ready job files, any conversion settings, controller version, tool mapping, trial record, operator procedure and responsibility for future changes.
File import does not prove wall-panel assembly compatibility
If your order includes a downstream light steel wall assembly station, agree its member-identification, handling, fixture and fastening interfaces separately. Retain the member schedule and panel drawing used in the trial. A roll former accepting a CSV file does not prove that the assembly station reads the same job, locates the members correctly or makes an accepted panel; ask the proposed supplier to demonstrate the actual handoff.
Next step for a matched proposal
For light steel framing, compare the CFS framing equipment family and the HSK-3005 model page with the sections and tools in your project. Use the separate setup-documentation guide for production change records and the FAT evidence guide for wider acceptance. Send the profile drawing, steel grade, thickness range, punching layout, target output and one non-confidential example job so Halcyon can ask our factory team which file format and trial it can support for your proposed configuration.
