Which standing-seam profile is required?
Direct answer: Locking method, seam height, pan width, clip geometry and coil material must match the approved roofing system. Snap-lock and mechanically seamed panels need different tooling, so we specify which one the line is built for. Confirm the full section drawing and trial seam with the intended clips and seaming tools.

Should panels be roll-formed on site?
That decision depends on transport limits, panel lengths, access, handling, weather protection and the approved equipment configuration. A mobile unit is not assumed to be included. The project roof designer remains responsible for slope, water tightness, wind load and code compliance. Compare roof sheet procurement questions before requesting a quotation.

Run panels from the approved coil and drawing, then check section dimensions, seam edge shape, cut length and visible coating condition on identified first-off and later samples. Assemble a trial seam with the intended clips and, where the system requires it, the specified seaming tool. Record fit issues and adjustments instead of approving the line from a single loose panel. Does the forming trial prove weather tightness?
No. The trial checks the machine-produced panel and its fit with the specified joint parts. Roof-system weather, wind and structural performance require the responsible designer and applicable system test evidence.
Can one tool set form snap-lock and mechanically seamed profiles?
Only when the quotation lists separate approved drawings and tooling, or a documented changeover, for both seam types. We state this in writing for your order.
