How to plan roll forming machine shipping: packed dimensions, package weights, lifting points and a verified container loading plan before shipment. A single-layer, double-layer or purlin machine label cannot confirm whether the order will fit a particular container. Accessories and dismantled modules must be counted as part of the shipment.

Verify the packed order rather than the bare machine
Request a numbered packing list and a drawing showing each package in the proposed container. Check the actual door opening as well as internal space, package weight distribution and the unloading sequence. Identify the modules that must be removed for transport and the work needed to reconnect them. Ask the carrier or forwarder to confirm the selected equipment and route limits using the current booking details. At destination, the lifting plan should use confirmed package weights and the designated handling points.
Buyer review worksheet
| Review item | Information to compare | Decision or evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Package register | Length, width, height and gross weight | Match each item to the packing-list number |
| Loading arrangement | Position and unloading order | Check door access and clearance |
| Protection | Moisture and movement protection | Record packing and securing before closure |
| Dismantling | Removed parts and connection labels | Keep assembly drawings with the shipment |
| Arrival preparation | Lifting and receiving equipment | Match the heaviest and largest package |
What evidence should I keep before the container closes?
Keep photographs of package labels, protected components, securing arrangements and the packed contents, together with the final packing list. Reconcile the accessories and spare parts against the order. Resolve any difference before treating the shipment record as complete.
Can I choose a shipping container from the roll forming machine model name?
No. Use the final packed dimensions and gross weight of every module, together with the selected container’s door opening, usable space and load limits. Include tooling, controls, accessories and spare parts. Container type and any special-cargo arrangement must be confirmed with the carrier or forwarder for the actual load.
Apply the answer to your order
Illustrative loading review: the former fits within the internal length, but a packed control cabinet or loading frame is too tall for the door opening. A volume total would not reveal this. Check the individual package entry path and unloading sequence, and agree the equipment needed at destination.
Evidence to request
- Final numbered package register and packing drawings.
- Carrier confirmation of the selected equipment and cargo declaration.
- Loading/unloading sequence matched to actual package dimensions and weights.
